Break Time - Explained

Hi Everyone

It's been a while since I've been active on t'internet but I had a bit of a health scare last year that changed my priorities. After extensive tests all proved to be ok, but a worrying time right in the middle of my usual landscape season.

It did however highlight that I needed to make some life style changes, as over the past 10 years I'd gone from a fit competitive cyclist with the odd triathlon thrown in, to just sitting in front of a computer for my day job. Hiking to locations was my only fitness activity, followed by more sitting in front of a computer to edit images.
Something had to change... my body had now spoken, so since December I decided to put my landscape photography on hold and back to a training routine to try and get back to the fitness I was used to, which in turn I believe will only help my photography ... healthy body, healthy mind and all that.

Four months later and the gym work is paying off. No more back pains when carrying a heavy camera bag, my cycling fitness is coming back quicker than expected and I can probably run to locations now.... as long as my trousers stay up as nothing fits me anymore :)

As we're now starting the Summer season and I'm not a fan of the light this time of year, I probably wont be adding many images at the moment. I can't wait for my usual September start to the Dorset Landscape season, but this time I'll be continuing with my fitness regime.

Many thanks to my family and friends for your support in what has been a difficult time and a transition period for me, but I'm now feeling better than I've felt for a very long time, and intend on ensuring it stays that way.
